In the summer of 1932, though the War Department was moving forward with plans to erect a Peace Monument at Appomattox Court House, the monument was never built. Discover the fierce battle that erupted on the ground where peace had been secured nearly seventy years earlier. Led by Caroline Janney, Purdue University.
