Hannah Reynolds was an enslaved woman who was wounded during the Battle of Appomattox Courthouse on April 9, 1865. When she died three days later, she was a free woman, and the only civilian casualty of the battle. On the 152nd anniversary of her death, the Museum will tell Hannah’s story through an original play, written and produced by Wolfbane Productions of Appomattox. All performances will be outdoors, and limited seating will be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
