House 200- The Complex Relationships of Servitude

Explore the complicated relationships of the Civil War era through the choices of some of the enslaved and free servant staff within the Davis household. This immersive tour of the house is created and led by Dylan Pritchett (storyteller). Related morning events will be held in Richmond’s Jackson Ward neighborhood.

  • 10 - 11am - Jackson Ward After Emancipation Walking Tour (Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site). Free but registrations are encouraged. 
  • 11:30am - 1pm - Lunch & Curator Tour (Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia). Space is limited. Reservations are required for lunch and tour. $15 for general public, $12.50 for BHM and ACWM members.
