During the Civil War, Jefferson Davis and Abraham Lincoln both had connections to the house at 1201 E. Clay Street. Explore how the decisions, personalities, and families of these two men impacted their presidencies on this tour of the White House of the Confederacy.

House 200- Restoring the House at 12th and Clay

Join some of the staff involved in the house's restoration, as they relive the thirteen-year process of how the Museum painstakingly researched and oversaw the restoration of the house to its wartime appearance. This panel discussion will feature Ruth Ann Coski (historian, moderator), Patricia Loughridge (first house curator), and Robin Reed (former director of the Museum of the Confederacy).
