Teacher Advisory Council
Are you an educator who teaches about the American Civil War and are interested in shaping how your fellow teachers and students engage with the history? We are particularly looking for educators who:
- Teach at any grade level, but especially those who cover content related to the American Civil War.
- Are enthusiastic about helping our organization to create excellent, relevant, and useful offerings for teachers and their students, for use on-site at the museums and in the classroom.
- Can help shape our vision for how we want to best serve educators and their students.
- Are flexible, creative, innovative, and reflective.

The American Civil War Museum offers internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students seeking educational and professional advancement and course credit. We currently do not have any internship opportunities, if you have any questions regarding internships, please contact us here.
Volunteers may be anyone interested in museum studies, historical research, education, history, or events. Please fill out this online volunteer inquiry form and we will keep your application on file for a year and notify you if any positions become available.
The Tredegar Society is the Junior Board of The American Civil War Museum. With a mission to support the work of The American Civil War Museum, the group hosts events throughout the year that seek to bring Civil War history to a younger audience.
