The American Civil War Museum provides a wide range of resources both on and off-site to enhance your understanding of the Civil War.

Groups of 15 people or more are eligible for hands-on and artifact-driven programs, where we guide you through the complexities of the Civil War and its legacies. All programs can be adapted for various ages, interests, and abilities.

Use the Museum for your classroom! The American Civil War Museum has compiled several FREE educational resources that cover a variety of topics to supplement your teaching of the Civil War in your classroom.

We maintain one of the largest collections of Civil War artifacts. If you are working on a research project and would like to complement it with our collection, you are welcome to view any item. However, please note that you must schedule an appointment in advance. Appointments are generally scheduled two weeks in advance. To schedule an appointment, contact us here.
