Book Talk with Chris Graham
May 18 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
How did a pair of stained glass windows dedicated to the memories of Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis empower a group of elite white people to engage in progressive reform? Join Chris Graham to explore the ways that the memory of the Civil War meant to the people of Richmond’s St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in the 1890s, and the surprising ways that they used that memory for the next twenty years.
Chris Graham is the Curator of Exhibitions at the American Civil War Museum, and author of Faith, Race, and the Lost Cause: Confessions of a Southern Church.
