Sternhell discusses the Civil War’s most important archive and reveal how what we consider as factual knowledge about America’s greatest conflict was actually shaped by an intricate web of ideological currents and political struggles during the postbellum era.
Yael Sternhell, Ph.D. teaches history and American studies at Tel Aviv University and is also the author of Routes of War: The World of Movement in the Confederate South.
