The American Civil War Museum will present the annual Lincoln Prize Lecture on October 17th at Tredegar in Richmond, Virginia. Featured speakers will be the recipients of the 2024 Gilder Lehrman Lincoln Prize, Dr. Frances M. Clarke and Dr. Rebecca Jo Plant. They were awarded the prize for their book Of Age: Boy Soldiers and Military Power in the Civil War Era. The Gilder Lehrman Lincoln Prize is awarded annually for the finest scholarly work published in the prior year in English on Abraham Lincoln, the American Civil War soldier, or the American Civil War era, one that also enhances the general public’s understanding of the Civil War era.
