Voices From Sailor’s Creek

The American Civil War Museum–Appomattox is pleased to host the Appomattox Petersburg Preservation Society for their lecture, “Voices From Sailor’s Creek.”
Through firsthand accounts, historical narratives, and creative interpretations, “Voices From Sailor’s Creek” explores the human stories behind the pivotal battle of Sailor’s Creek. Centering themes of struggle, endurance, loss, and remembrance, the program connects audiences with the people whose experiences continue to resonate to this day.
Joshua Lindamood is a historian at Sailor’s Creek Battlefield Historical State Park and Staunton River Battlefield State Park. He has also worked with the American Civil War Museum and Appomattox Court House National Historical Park. A founding member and co-director of the Appomattox-Petersburg Preservation Society, Joshua is dedicated to preserving Southside Virginia’s battlefields and historic landmarks.
