ACWM and the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park are teaming up to host a day camp for children ages 8 – 12! At this Civil War Day Camp, participants will experience what life was like for the newly recruited Civil War soldier while learning the importance of working in unison, and about the War’s impact on the Homefront. They will also participate in Civil-War-era games, explore Civil War medical practices, and discover why General Lee surrendered at Appomattox Court House. Led by ACWM and NPS education teams, this special event also includes tours of the museums and grounds.

DAY 1 will be held at the American Civil War Museum- Appomattox

DAY 2 will be held at the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park

*CAMPERS WILL NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN LUNCH
